Celebrating the Vines Center

Making final preparations this month to participate in the Arkansas 4-H Foundation’s Dinner at the Vines. This celebration honors the sacrifices and contributions of many that made this incredible center possible. Working on and attending this event allows others to invest in the Vine’s Center’s future. It is an honor to prepare and serve Arkansas-grown soy in the form of a creamy garlic hummus during the Garden Party.

If you can’t attend, you can find our hummus recipe in our Soy Kitchen blog!

The educational programs provided through the Vines Center provide leadership and teambuilding training for Arkansans across our lifespan. Whether you are 5 or 55, participating in lifelong education at this tranquil center can enrich your life. It has mine. The staff and educators are amazing. My September post is a nod to the tremendous work of the Vines Center and the contributions they make in the lives of children and even older folks like me! They are an Arkansas treasure.

September Soybean Shots

Check out these September shots of some of our soybean varieties filling out prior to harvest.

This past month I have spent about every spare minute working on research and development grants for B & B.  We began edamame seed sales this past spring, and the next step is to conduct key research; taking our minimally processed, whole soy food products into the consumer marketplace. This is a big step! We have some amazing partners who will be instrumental in the future development efforts. So grateful for the mentorship and support from the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center’s Lab2Launch program during the past six months.

Encouraging words are a tremendous gift when starting anything new.
