Getting ready to launch
B & B Legacy Farms, LLC is getting ready for a big day!
The launch of our soy food business from the family farm in Beedeville, Arkansas.
It is a small community with old and dear friends; where neighbors still help neighbors.
It is a community where three generations have called home.
We have traveled down a long and winding road to bring these sweet beans to your door and your garden spot.
Several folks joined us on this journey. Individuals and organizations that showed up and helped in so many ways at just the right time.
I gained a new sister during this journey; my co-founder Leigh Ann Bullington. We share a common vision of what can be.
Our mentor Joyce remains a guiding influence through this journey; we would have never survived without her wisdom, humor and support. Our advisors, Lanny, Kelly and Dr. Chen answered our emails and continued to take our calls, providing invaluable advice and counsel. Our son Grant set up the LLC and got us on the right track legally; getting us off to a good start.
Our Winrock Delta I-Fund instructors pushed us to ask the tough questions and challenged us to learn and grow into entrepreneurs. Our counselors from APAC and the UALR SBDC have helped with market research and business planning.
John and the team with the UA Food Innovation Center made sure we learned the finer points of food safety, the regulatory processes and helped us with packaging. And speaking of packaging . . . our creative gurus Chris and Kristena have captured the heart of this business through their creativity and commitment to quality design. My husband Danny stepped up to become a partner last fall and has helped the business take flight.
A multitude of friends have patiently served for several years as valuable consumer research subjects; testing food products, participating in virtual focus groups (the COVID version), and even serving as copy editors for final packaging. You know who you are, and your input has meant the world to us.
We invite you to continue to follow our story, recipes, and products!
We are excited to announce new editions coming to our website. We will be featuring new information and recipes each month through our Soy School and Soy Chef website pages. Stay tuned!
Thanks again for your support of family farms.
The countdown is on!
