March Farm Blog

The peach trees are freezing their blossoms off!

March has been a wild month on the farm with high winds, floods, and frost.

Our hound dog Sweet Thing and I are both looking forward to spring weather.

Why is it still cold?

On a positive note, the cold weather has helped me get a head start on spring cleaning. I never want to do this when the weather is pretty!

Not to worry, warm weather is just around the corner and the edamame seed is ready.

Whether you grow it in a pot, a raised bed, or in a field, soy is an amazing food.

Not only can you grow your own protein but you can likewise grow your own snack food!

March’s whole soy recipe of the month is soy milk.

Yes, you can make it yourself! Get the recipe!

What’s not to love about soy milk?

Growing up in the Delta surrounded by soybean fields I didn’t think much about what I ate.

Glad this old dog still has the capacity to learn.

I also hope the March floods are behind us.

Pretty sure Eight-Mile Creek in Beedeville was white-capping at one point this month. Check out the video below.

Never a dull moment.
