May Farm Blog

The baby beans have arrived, and they have an attitude.

May’s gift to us all is the tangible evidence of nature’s capacity for rebirth and renewal.

Hello corn!

Despite record storms this spring, lingering cold weather, and flooding rains, soybeans and corn have emerged from the crusty soil.

A new season begins. All lined up and ready to go.

The wheat, the senior member of the 2023 crop, looks great decorated with wild chamomile.

Is it just me or are the wildflowers especially beautiful this year?

Wildflowers are growing everywhere, reminding us that some of the best things in life are free.

Remembering all the “moms” this month that have corrected, encouraged, and mentored me throughout my life. My spunky mother and sweet mother-in-law are both gone now. I was blessed by their lives and still miss them. Just in case they are listening, thanks, Mom.

Life is such a precious gift.

The month of May must have been created as a reminder.

Hope you join me in celebrating May with a slice of Soylicious® Buttermilk Pie, a classic southern desert. With a serious reduction in saturated fat.

It is almost (?) guilt-free. : - )

Check out the recipe under the B & B Recipe tab.

Blessings,

Karen

P.S. Sharing a little sunshine (below) on this overcast day through snapshots from the country.
